Space Filler

Fill the spaces.
Flush the past away with the present.

Part of me has considered taking down certain links here. I didn't think people would take the trouble to find the pieces and put them together, unless they meant something to them.

I didn't think it would matter if they did.

I don't know if it does or not.

Today was also spent buying my new laptop. Thanks K, for coming along! I really appreciated your help, even if I didn't put voice to my thoughts very well. Funny huh, the older I get the more incompetent with language I become. So yeah, without you I'd probably not have had the courage to put my money where my mouth was (my bro has spent the last hour nitpicking at the components, rubbish connexant modem, ordinary graphics card, XP Home?!?! etcetcetc, but I know - it's what I wanted. And I like it) wondering precisely if it was right for me... or maybe the Thinkpad.... or heaven forbid, the Acer?!?!

Your picking it made me Know that I wanted it too. We're both blokes and I guessed we'd have similar demands of a laptop. So I figured if he picks it, and I picked it, then that's The One.

(now, dammit, if only women were as easy to select)

And to top it off, your talking shop with the Shop Guy earned me that free fan-base, which I wouldn't even have known to ask about in the first place.

So thanks, from the bottom of my heart. I wish we emailed more often; today didn't quite count as talking did it. I guess it was the conventional male bonding thingie. If we were different sorta blokes we'd just have had a quiet pint together I guess.

Oh yeah, and the battery life is exactly two hours. lol

Do you (generic reader) know that I'm honestly rather puzzled why you guys read this blog. It's mundane, to me anyhow.

This blog is the sum total of my life. Listening today to several pretty-much strangers relating their fascinating lives / takes on love to me (and one tried-and-trusted friend) I realised for the umpteenth time how interesting everyone else's life is. My life is my work. And as V says, "but you choose to make that your life".

And I do. I suspect I know why I do.
But that doesn't change the fact that my life is boring. And, honestly, I don't write That well. So do yourselves a favour and go read someone else.... like metastasis. Or Mrbrown.

Or even Xiaxue... hehe

********
Speaking of which, having read many of the other female bloggers, well I hate to admit this, but I think Xiaxue, or perhaps one of the ozzie girls should win.

I mean, seriously, do the other girls honestly think that's blogging?

"kekeke, nevermind, save your votes for when it counts", etc

Anyone who can honestly say he reads their blogs for their writing and not the pictures is, well, lying. There's nothing to read!!

I really and honestly think they should make Sara the winner.

Sorted.

Oh yeah, and Xena, your blog's back online. Go write something! :) And um. Remember that water is not an optimal inhalational medium tomorrow. But otherwise, have a blast. :D
And storms and lucian... y' shoulda been there tonight. You guys would've fit right in.

And,

welcome to the World of Blog, Dan (http://brainjuicesquash.blogspot.com)
Someone once said something less than flattering about brainjuice.
He was so wrong.
I may not agree with some of the things you write, D, but you do write them well. :D
So, you do realise that knowing what I do about your career, I'm eminently suited to the purposes of blackmailing you, no? ;) pay up, or THEY'll find out about your blog!
hehe
